Why We Built Rizza

Rizza was born out of friendship, experience — and frustration.

​

Amarjeet Thakur and Srikant Subramanian have been friends and colleagues for over 15 years, working across brand strategy, product development, sales, operations, and leadership roles.

 

Together, they’ve interviewed more than 1,000 candidates in their professional careers. And through it all, one question kept nagging them:

Is the way we hire today really serving today’s workplace?

  • Is the recruitment process addressing the evolving needs of modern, blended-skill roles?

  • Are we considering what candidates actually value?

  • And is culture — arguably the biggest predictor of success — even being measured at all?

 

Again and again, they watched promising candidates get overlooked, poor-fit hires slip through, and teams struggle to scale. And they spent countless hours sifting through resumes, trying to find signals in the noise.

Srikant is a strategist and builder with nearly 20 years of experience in brand strategy, sales, and leadership. He has led commercial growth, built client relationships across industries, and scaled teams that perform.

Srikant brings a sharp structural mindset to Rizza — ensuring that every part of the product reflects real business needs. He’s passionate about designing systems that simplify decisions and drive outcomes.

Off the clock, he’s a Manchester United fan, a curious reader, and a community-builder over great food.

Amarjeet is a product-first thinker with deep experience across brand, product development, operations, and communications. Throughout his career, he’s led the creation of products, brands, and teams that balance creativity with execution.

 

At Rizza, he drives the platform’s human-centered design — ensuring that AI augments, not replaces, the intuition and empathy behind great hiring.

 

When not building things, Amarjeet is an outdoor enthusiast, a nature lover, and active in community service.
